My Name is Sanjay Chhimwal. I am born and brought up in a village called Dhikuli which is near Corbett Park. I am a naturalist and trying to learn about nature and spread the awareness amongst others for conservation.

 

As a naturalist I feel my responsibility to pass on the knowledge to tourist and other locals so that they can come forward for conservation awareness. I rescue snakes if they enter into the house of locals and have seen a change in the mindset of villagers. now instead of killing them which they used to do earlier now they call for its safe rescue. So far I have rescued many venomous and non venomous snakes. During this the villagers are also informed about their importance and not to kill them.

 

I am also intereseted in butterflies. The area  is full with many beautiful butterflies and have so far recorded over 125 species from the area.
